Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory a Cult classic of it's era

Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory is a one of the best online multiplayer game of it's time (not as much these days), where in the game itself players interact with each other over a network, in two teams( Allies and bad guys ) to defend or destroy mission objectives.

(game had decent graphic in 2003,source bing)

The game can be played on a local area network or the Internet. In public activities, PunkBuster used to guard the game, yet its creator, EvenBalance, discontinued assistance for the sport in October 2011.

There are six officially released maps that are partially based on real locations or events( North African Campaign: Gold Rush, Siwa Oasis, and Atlantic Seawall Battery, Europe Campaign: Rail Gun, Würzburg Radar, and Fuel Dump ), as well as hundreds of custom maps made by the gaming community.

(in game characters feels quite picture painted, source bing)

On most charts, the offence needs to complete a certain set of objectives within a limited amount of time. The security needs to keep the offence from completing objectives until period runs out. Some goals might be optional, and either group may carry out some goals. These slight objectives assist the group completing them.

Depending on the game mode, the action will take place on a different map( Campaign Mode ) or the same map as last man standing, stopwatch, and objective modes.
In all but the Last Man Standing Mode, dying participants respawn all at the same time, every By moments.

(wolfenstein certainly improved over the years a lot, source -=-)

In the default maps— assuming that the server settings are not changing it— Allies spawn every 20 seconds and the Axis every 30 seconds, the only exception being Rail Gun where both have a 20 - second spawn. The spawn clock is visible in the right side of the screen with default options.

Experienced players should constantly keep an eye on the clock because dying to a 1-second spawn essentially means losing your position( and life, if the server has the infrequently used Limited Lives feature enabled) and resetting your health and ammo, in contrast to the 30-second kill, which can be fatal in the presence of several players.

A good strategy is to find out the brood time of your opponent, for instance looking at the mission timer, and time your attacks so that every dying challenger will have to wait a full - time spawn.

Game it self is very much like many other shooter games but the scenes and authentic and unique background frame make this game one of the top games of it's time.

This game was released in 2003 as a standalone game which makes this game almost 20 years old(how time fly's) and this game is certainly not new which makes this game almost retro game.
